THE SYSTEMITES

From whence has sprung all this (multiple choice)

Naiveté Gullibility Stupidity

Hardly a day goes by that I am not accosted by a person who demands to know why I am saying such "terrible things" about the government, our "representatives", our judges, and especially CPS.

OK, Fine.  I quickly go down my list of grievances for their benefit.  At what point I might start is highly relative to whether this person really wants to know, or if they are just being argumentative and not listening at all.

I am not really sure it comes under any definition of "debating" when someone's tactic is to merely yell down his opponent, while the opponent racks up points for citing FACTS.

I note the New Agers seem to be quite "adept" at this "technique".

For some reason, I have been "blessed" to run into these people too often. They sneer at me and call me "stupid". Even so far as to question my sanity.  Aw, isn't that sweet.  If you disagree with me, I am nuts?

But, I digress. The point I am going after in this essay is:

SYSTEMITES- people who believe government is good, can do no wrong, and has the best interest of the citizens foremost in it's collective bureaucratic mind in everything it does.

My spell-check is screaming at me.  It says "systemite" is not a real word.  Neither does Dictionary.com.  This is a tad perplexing to me, since "systemite" is a common word in the vernacular.

I have clearly defined what the word "systemite" means.  Live with it.

So, From Whence has all this sprang?

The government SKULES who, despite their great educational bankruptcy, and well-earned BLAME for today's vapid and ignorant generation, DO NOT (to my knowledge) teach "government is universally good".

Television which despite it's obvious corrupting influence and control of the "thinking" in our society, certainly says ANYTHING BUT "government is god".

Joe Six-Pack has plenty of complaints about how government has screwed him over.

Not even the Communist Manifesto of 1848 nor the Humanist Manifesto's assert such a claim as "government is good and can do no wrong".

There may be a large cadre of people WHO WORK IN THE SYSTEM who pretend to be SYSTEMITES.  But in their candid moments, they know better.

There may be a large cadre of people in MAJOR MEDIA who pretend to be SYSTEMITES, and they of all people, know better.

But there is a large cadre of regular people "out there", in the shopping malls, on the freeway, at the ballgame, in the churches- who really DO believe that the American government system is GOOD and will do them no harm. SYSTEMITES

I am just asking:  How did they get this blind belief system?

The founders of our country most certainly recognized the evils of government and it's tendency to seize ever more power over it's citizens.

Do you know what the American Bill of Rights are?

They are Rights AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT.

Does that matter any more?  Use them or Lose them.
